Meet our ambassador: Stef from Wholesome Stef

At the office we truly walk the talk: Stef is not only a holistic health and fitness blogger, but also a member of the Fit ‘n’ Tasty crew! You know she’s a real foodie when she comes to work prepared with a green smoothie, afternoon snack and a big bottle of water. Let’s learn a bit more about her:


Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a 22-year old German girl currently living in Switzerland and I am extremely passionate about nutrition and holistic living. I am glad to be able to combine my passion with my work that I do at Fit ‘n’ Tasty, and I am also studying to become a certified health coach to help others to make positive lifestyle changes. I especially wish to help women with emotional eating issues, as this is something I have struggled with myself. My blog “Wholesome Stef” is a creative outlet of mine where I share my story with emotional eating and hope to inspire others to live their life to the fullest.

What will we always find in your fridge/pantry?

You’ll always find some fresh spinach, avocados and frozen bananas in my kitchen. My pantry is stocked with all kinds of things, but ingredients that never run out are quinoa and chia seeds. Oh, and maca powder!

What will we never find in your fridge/pantry?

I try to keep process/refined foods to an absolute minimum. You won’t find any junkie foods in my fridge, and even less so junky drinks like soda!

What is your workout routine like? How often do you workout and what exercises are your favorites?

I exercise one way or the other every day. It’s my form of stress relieve and I need it in order to stay zen. I just ran my first full marathon, so now I’ll be getting more into weight lifting again. I’m also a big fan of Kayla Itsines’ Bikini Body Guide and have done her program for 36 weeks.

Such a tough question! I’ll have to go with this raw hummus recipe I learnt how to make during my recent trip to Phuket Cleanse:

Raw Hummus with Zucchini

Ingredients:

  • 2 zucchini, chopped
  • 1 cup raw tahini
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup raw sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 1 ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Optional: Paprika-flavored olive oil to top off the finished dish

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in your Vitamix and blend to a rich perfection!
